Abstract Metamizole sodium was chosen as a representative of unstable analytes for investigation by discussing the effects of oxygen and solvent on its degradation reaction using the capillary electrophoresis technique. A possible degradation mechanism was deduced from the observed behavior and was confirmed by infra-red spectroscopic study.

Titrimetric semi-micro determination of sodium metamizole with Potassium hydrogenperoxymonosulphate
PharmakeftikiA simple, rapid and accurate titrimetric procedure using potassium hydrogenperoxymonosulphate have been developed for the semi-micro determination of sodium metamizole in pure form and in tablets. The proposed method is based on the oxidation of bisulfite ions formed as a result of acid hydrolysis of sodium metamizole by known excess of the potassium ...

An acid-dye colormetric method was described for the determination of chlorpromazine hydrochloride in the compound preparation. The method was based on the reaction of chlorpromazine hydrochloride with methyl orange, to form a yellow complex, which then was extracted by chloroform and exhibited a maximum absorption at 424 nm. The optimal conditions for
