Parasexuality in the deuteromycete Metarhizium anisopliae
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1980Auxotrophic and conidial colour mutants of Metarhizium anisopliae var. minor were obtained after ultraviolet treatment and used to demonstrate parasexual recombination. Heterokaryons between different mutants revealed that spore colour is non-autonomous. From heterokaryons, putative diploids were isolated.

Depsipeptides from Metarhizium anisopliae
Phytochemistry, 1981Abstract From the culture medium of a strain of Metarhizium anisopliae , 14 depsipeptides have been isolated. Five of them were identified as known destruxins A, B, C, D and desmethyldestruxin B. The structures of the new compounds, named destruxins E, A 1 , A 2 , B 1 , B 2 , C 2 , D 1 , D 2 and E 1 ,were established mainly from the mass spectral ...

Electrophoretic karyotype of Metarhizium anisopliae
Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 1992Abstract The chromosomal DNA molecules of Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae have been separated into seven bands by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. Using the Schizosaccharomyces pombe chromosomes as size standards, we estimate the size of the chromosomes to be between 1.6 and 7.4 megabase pairs (Mbp) and total genome sizes of the five isolates

A multilocus phylogeny of theMetarhizium anisopliaelineage
Mycologia, 2009Metarhizium anisopliae, the type species of the anamorph entomopathogenic genus Metarhizium, is currently composed of four varieties, including the type variety, and had been demonstrated to be closely related to M. taii, M. pingshaense and M. guizhouense. In this study we evaluate phylogenetic relationships within the M.

Studies on Compatibility of Metarhizium anisopliae with Insecticides
Madras Agricultural Journal, 2022The results on the compatibility of M. anisopliae (isolate TNAU-MA-GDU) with various insecticides at five different doses (0.1x, x, 2x, 5x, and 10x) revealed that the highest mycelial growth was observed in flubendamide 480 SC (89.00 to 78.8 mm) and spinetoram 11.70 SC (89.00 to 76.60 mm) and was significantly superior over rest of insecticides ...

Fungal keratitis caused byMetarhizium anisopliaevar.anisopliae
Medical Mycology, 1997Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae (Metschnikov) Sorokin 1883 to our knowledge has never been reported as an agent of human or animal mycosis. This fungus has great importance as an agent of biological control of different pests and mosquito larvae in Colombia.

Infection of Psoroptes Mites with the Fungus Metarhizium Anisopliae
Experimental & Applied Acarology, 2001The astigmatid mite, Psoroptes ovis (Hering) (Acari: Psoroptidae), is an obligatory ectoparasite that causes psoroptic mange in a range of domesticated animals, particularly sheep, where the clinical disease is known as sheep scab. A series of laboratory assays were used to assess the use of the fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae (Metchnikoff ...

Extracellular enzyme production in Metarhizium anisopliae isolates
Folia Microbiologica, 2009Extracellular enzymes produced by Metarhizium anisopliae are believed to play a key role in cuticle hydrolysis. The in-vitro production of cuticle-degrading enzymes, such as chitinase, proteinase, caseinase, lipase and amylase in fourteen isolates of M. anisopliae exhibited significant natural isolate variability.

Effect of formulation on the viability of Metarhizium anisopliae conidia
Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 1983Abstract Fourteen oils, including mineral oil, cod liver oil, and 12 vegetable oils, were highly detrimental to Metarhizium anisopliae conidial viability after 2 months storage at 26° and 19°C. Most oilconidial suspensions (8 of 14) also lost conidial viability more rapidly than unformulated conidia at 4°C.

Genetic diversity of Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae in southwestern British Columbia
Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 2008The abundance and genetic diversity of the entomopathogenic fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae, in southwestern British Columbia (BC) and southern Alberta was examined. The fungus was found to be widespread in soil throughout southwestern BC, and was recovered from 56% of 85 sample sites. In contrast to southwestern BC, no M.
