Circular dichroism analysis of destruxins from Metarhizium anisopliae
Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Methods, 2005Destruxins are secondary metabolites secreted by Metarhizium anisopliae [Y. Destruxin Ed1 a cyclopeptide from the fungus Metarhizium anisopliae
Phytochemistry, 1998A new destruxin Ed1 has been isolated from the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. Its structure was deduced from the NMR and mass spectral data.

Formation of exudate droplets byMetarhizium anisopliaeand the presence of destruxins
Mycologia, 2010Nutritional conditions causing droplet exudation by Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliae were studied. Exudation in droplets occurred only on media with more than one carbon source and was highly dependent on the ratio of a well metabolized sugar such as trehalose and a nonpreferred sugar, in particular arabinose.

Gene clusters potentially involved in the virulence of Metarhizium anisopliae
Fungal BiologyMetarhizium anisopliae is an entomopathogenic fungus that infects a diversity of arthropods and is considered a model for studies of fungal-insect relationships. The infection process is composed of several steps and involves the production of diverse secondary metabolites (SM).

Metarhizium anisopliae: An Overview as Entomopathogene Pathogenicity
JOURNAL OF ENVIRONMENT AND BIO-SCIENCEEvery year, it is observed that certain arthropods, including Diptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and Lepidoptera, have a detrimental influence to crop. A major shift in the climate leads to a rise in insect pest attacks on a variety of crops. Synthetic chemical fertilizers are frequently employed as herbicides and insecticides to control crop loss.
