Study on the virulence of Metarhizium anisopliae against Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith, 1797)

Journal of Basic Microbiology
This study examined the impact of Metarhizium anisopliae (Hypocreales: Clavicipitaceae) conidia on the eggs, larvae, pupae, and adults of Spodoptera frugiperda.

Parasexuality in the deuteromycete Metarhizium anisopliae

Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1980
Auxotrophic and conidial colour mutants of Metarhizium anisopliae var. minor were obtained after ultraviolet treatment and used to demonstrate parasexual recombination. Heterokaryons between different mutants revealed that spore colour is non-autonomous. From heterokaryons, putative diploids were isolated.

Circular dichroism analysis of destruxins from Metarhizium anisopliae

Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Methods, 2005
Destruxins are secondary metabolites secreted by Metarhizium anisopliae [Y. Kodaira, Toxic substances to insects, produced by Aspergillus ochraceus and Oopsra destructor, Agric. Biol. Chem., 25 (1961) 261-262. D.W. Roberts, Toxins from the entomogenous fungus Metarhizium anisoplaie: Isolation from submerged cultures, J. Invertebr. Pathol., 14 (1969) 82-

Isoenzymes polymorphism in Metarhizium anisopliae (Deuteromycotina: Hyphomycetes) entomogenous fungi

Mycopathologia, 1986
96 Metarhizium anisopliae strains originating from various insects and countries, have been compared for their conidial size, their virulence towards the european corn borer and the profiles of some of their isoenzymes: glutamate oxalo-acetic transaminases, alcohol dehydrogenases, acid phosphatases.

ChemInform Abstract: Insecticidal Cyclodepsipeptides from Metarhizium anisopliae.

ChemInform, 1990
AbstractBioassay‐guided fractionation of the culture broth of Metarhizium anisopliae results in the isolation of 10 insecticidal cyclodepsipeptides, the destruxins.

Studies on Compatibility of Metarhizium anisopliae with Insecticides

Madras Agricultural Journal, 2022
The results on the compatibility of M. anisopliae (isolate TNAU-MA-GDU) with various insecticides at five different doses (0.1x, x, 2x, 5x, and 10x) revealed that the highest mycelial growth was observed in flubendamide 480 SC (89.00 to 78.8 mm) and spinetoram 11.70 SC (89.00 to 76.60 mm) and was significantly superior over rest of insecticides ...

The Metarhizium anisopliae trp1 Gene: Cloning and Regulatory Analysis

Current Microbiology, 2004
The trp1 gene from the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae, cloned by heterologous hybridization with the plasmid carrying the trpC gene from Aspergillus nidulans, was sequence characterized. The predicted translation product has the conserved catalytic domains of glutamine amidotransferase (G domain), indoleglycerolphosphate synthase (C ...

A multilocus phylogeny of theMetarhizium anisopliaelineage

Mycologia, 2009
Metarhizium anisopliae, the type species of the anamorph entomopathogenic genus Metarhizium, is currently composed of four varieties, including the type variety, and had been demonstrated to be closely related to M. taii, M. pingshaense and M. guizhouense. In this study we evaluate phylogenetic relationships within the M.

Pathogenicity and Transgenerational Effects of Metarhizium anisopliae on the Demographic Parameters of Aedes albopictus (Culicidae: Diptera)

Journal of medical entomology, 2019
Dengue fever is a vector-borne infectious disease that spreads swiftly and threatens human lives in several tropical countries. Most of the strategies employed for the control of Aedes albopictus (Skuse) involve synthetic chemicals.

Infection of Psoroptes Mites with the Fungus Metarhizium Anisopliae

Experimental & Applied Acarology, 2001
The astigmatid mite, Psoroptes ovis (Hering) (Acari: Psoroptidae), is an obligatory ectoparasite that causes psoroptic mange in a range of domesticated animals, particularly sheep, where the clinical disease is known as sheep scab. A series of laboratory assays were used to assess the use of the fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae (Metchnikoff ...
