Electronically steered metasurface antenna [PDF]
Mobile devices, climate science, and autonomous vehicles all require advanced microwave antennas for imaging, radar, and wireless communications. We propose a waveguide-fed metasurface antenna architecture that enables electronic beamsteering from a ...

A True Metasurface Antenna. [PDF]
AbstractWe present a true metasurface antenna based on electrically-small resonators. The resonators are placed on a flat surface and connected to one feed point using corporate feed. Unlike conventional array antennas where the distance between adjacent antennas is half wavelength to reduce mutual coupling between adjacent antennas, here the distance ...

A space-time holographic metasurface antenna. [PDF]
Holography is a revolutionary imaging technology capable of storing and recovering full-wave information of the light fields scattered by objects. However, current hologram configurations are based on space-only modulation and can merely record the amplitude and phase information of object lights.

A Metasurface Superstrate for Mutual Coupling Reduction of Large Antenna Arrays
In this paper, a ε-negative metasurface superstrate is proposed for mutual coupling reduction of large antenna arrays. Unlike the previous decoupling metasurface works that are mostly confined to two-ports antennas, the proposed decoupling ...

A near zero refractive indexed non-uniform metasurface for broadband RCS reduction of an antipodal Vivaldi antenna [PDF]
This research reports the design of a polarization converter based non-uniform metasurface in which the unit cells have been arranged in such a manner that both co and cross polarized reflections are minimized which results in mitigation of radar cross ...

PD Koch Complementary Fractal UHF Antenna Based on AMC Metasurface [PDF]
To meet the high-sensitivity requirement of ultra-high-frequency (UHF) sensors for electromagnetic waves radiated by partial discharge (PD) in power equipment of substations, this paper proposes a Koch complementary fractal UHF antenna based on the ...

Low‐profile circularly polarized metasurface antenna with tailored reflection phase
A low‐profile metasurface antenna with circularly polarized radiation and tailored anisotropic reflection is proposed in this letter. The metasurface antenna composed of excitation structure (microstrip line with coupling slot) and a metasurface layer ...

Engineered Substrates for Metasurface Antennas
This letter explores the advantages of additively manufactured substrates with spatially varying electromagnetic properties. These engineered substrates will be constructed using space filling curves (SFC) of various orders. New advanced manufacturing systems such as the nScrypt 3Dn-300, have enabled the rapid fabrication of these SFC substrates.
