ALL-TEXTILE ON-BODY METASURFACE ANTENNA

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research M, 2022
In this work, a novel all-textile washable metasurface antenna is designed for WBAN/WLAN and mid-band 5G applications. Metasurface antenna is obtained by implanting SRR (Split Ring Resonator) metamaterials that show left-hand characteristics to the patch plane.

A Low-Profile Broadband Metasurface Antenna With Polarization Conversion Based on Characteristic Mode Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
In this paper, a low-profile, broadband metasurface antenna for polarization conversion is proposed based on characteristic mode analysis (CMA). A new type of metasurface unit with a partially chamfered symmetrical triangular structure is designed.

A Low-Profile Metasurface MIMO Antenna with Suppressed Higher-Order Modes for 5G Applications [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Electrical Engineering
In this paper, a novel low-profile and low cross-polarization metasurface antenna is proposed for 5G mm-wave applications. The proposed antenna consists of two layers, with a slot antenna as the base and a novel metasurface layer on top.

Implementation of Magnetoelectric Dipoles in Metasurfaces for 5G Applications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2022
The well-known magnetoelectric dipole (ME-dipole) has huge adoption in antenna designs. In this paper, we manage to implement ME-dipoles in metasurfaces.

Metasurface Antennas for FMCW Radar

open access: yesIEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023
Two planar metasurface (MTS) antennas are designed to produce a pattern with optimal illumination in a radar scenario, given the a priori known path of the targets. The antennas are extremely flat, thin, with a monopole feed integrated in the plane of the structure. The monopole serves as a surface-wave (SW) launcher illuminating the slab.

A Low-Cost Multibeam Switching Antenna Using Reconfigurable Hybrid Metasurface for Beamforming Applications

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
In this paper, we proposed a multibeam switching antenna based on a low-cost reconfigurable hybrid metasurface applied for beamforming systems. The antenna consists of two parts: a microstrip feed antenna and a transmission hybrid metasurface. The latter

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...
