THE HALF-YEAR MONITORING OF METEOROID INFLUX TO THE NEAR-EARTH SPACE BY TV-OBSERVATIONS
The Astronomical Institute of Russian Academy of Science provides TV-meteor observations since 2000. We began them with hybrid camera for Space Control Survey, but now we use 6 simple wide-angle Patrol Camera (PatrolCa) for every-night monitoring of ...

Altitudinal dependence of meteor radio afterglows measured via optical counterparts
Utilizing the all‐sky imaging capabilities of the first station of the Long Wavelength Array along with a host of all‐sky optical cameras, we have now observed 44 optical meteor counterparts to radio afterglows.

Contribution of meteor flux in the occurrence of sporadic-E (Es) layers over the Arabian Peninsula [PDF]
A sporadic-E (Es) layer is generally associated with a thin-layered structure present in the lower ionosphere, mostly consisting of metallic ions. This metallic ion layer is formed when meteors burn in the upper atmosphere, resulting in the deposition of

Nitric oxide (NO) is a critical indicator of energy deposition in the lower thermosphere because of its formational pathways. Thus, it is important to constrain sources of NO, such as meteoroid generated hypersonic flows below 95 km altitude.

Scientific goals of optical instruments of the National Heliogeophysical Complex
Studies of the upper atmosphere have to be performed using optical photometric and spectrometric means. Modern devices allow precise photometry of the glow of the night atmosphere — airglow — with high temporal spatial and spectral resolution.

We describe a case of a 65-year old man diagnosed with retinal vasoproliferative tumour secondary to posterior uveitis. The fluorescein angiography shows an interesting meteor-like leak emanating from the tumour and rising towards the superior retina in the later frames of the angiogram.

THE CHALLENGES IN HYPERVELOCITY MICROPHYSICS RESEARCH ON METEOROID IMPACTS INTO THE ATMOSPHERE
Meteor science contributes greatly to the study of the Solar System and the Earth’s atmosphere. However, despite its importance and very long history, meteor science still has a lot to explore in the domain of meteor plasma microphysics and the meteor ...

Possible Transfer of Life by Earth-Grazing Objects to Exoplanetary Systems
Recently, a 30-cm object was discovered to graze the Earth’s atmosphere and shift into a Jupiter-crossing orbit. We use the related survey parameters to calibrate the total number of such objects.

PF191012 Myszyniec - highest Orionid meteor ever recorded [PDF]
On the night of Oct 18/19, 2012 at 00:23 UT a -14.7 mag Orionid fireball occurred over northeastern Poland. The precise orbit and atmospheric trajectory of the event is presented, based on the data collected by five video and one photographic Polish ...
