Laparoscopic Delivery of a MnO2‐P‐ICG Patch for Photodynamic Therapy and NK Cell‐Driven Immunotherapy in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 32, 9 June 2026.
This study proposes a flexible MnO2‐P‐ICG nanofiber patch for laparoscopic treatment of liver tumors. The patch alleviates tumor hypoxia and induces photodynamic therapy (PDT) triggered immunogenic cell death, thereby activating the cGAS‐STING pathway and, in synergy with pachymaran, promoting NK cell–mediated innate immunity. This synergistic strategy

Work‐Related Asthma From Exposure to Cardboard and Paper Products

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Industrial Medicine, Volume 69, Issue 6, Page 482-488, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background We assess the contribution of cardboard dust exposure to the development of work‐related asthma (WRA). Prior studies on paper‐dust‐related breathing problems have focused on exposures in the paper milling and pulp industries. There have been no reports of asthma linked to workplace exposure to cardboard dust.

Asthma management: important issues

open access: yesEuropean Respiratory Review, 2005
Although most attention has been focused on the drugs used to control asthma, it is increasingly recognised that effective delivery of these drugs to the lungs is just as important.

Ex vivo comparison of ACU193 and lecanemab reveals binding differences in mouse brain

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Immunotherapy targeting amyloid beta (Aβ) is limited by amyloid‐related imaging abnormalities (ARIA), hypothesized to result from the direct binding of anti‐Aβ monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to vascular cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), eliciting an immune response.

Heme Metabolism‐Derived Carbon Monoxide Regulates Skeletal Muscle Function

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Heme oxygenases, HO‐1 (Hmox1) and HO‐2 (Hmox2), regulate skeletal muscle homeostasis by degrading heme and generating carbon monoxide (CO), a bioactive signalling molecule. Although HO‐1 is known to influence muscle fibre composition and mitochondrial function, the role of HO‐2 in activity‐dependent neuromuscular plasticity remains ...
