Expanded VLA Detection of 36.2 GHz Class I Methanol Masers in Sagittarius A [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We report on the interferometric detection of 36.2 GHz Class I methanol emission with the new 27-40 GHz Ka band receivers available on the Expanded Very Large Array (EVLA).

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Experimental Investigation on the Effects of Direct Injection Timing on the Combustion, Performance and Emission Characteristics of Methanol/Gasoline Dual-Fuel Spark Turbocharged Ignition (DFSI) Engine with Different Injection Pressures under High Load

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The exceptional properties of methanol, such as its high octane number and latent heat of evaporation, make it an advantageous fuel for efficient utilization in dual-fuel combustion techniques. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of direct

A search for 95 GHz class I methanol masers in molecular outflows

open access: yes, 2012
We have observed a sample of 288 molecular outflow sources including 123 high-mass and 165 low-mass sources to search for class I methanol masers at 95 GHz transition and to investigate relationship between outflow characteristics and class I methanol ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Effects of Methanol Addition on the Combustion Process of the Methanol/Diesel Dual-Fuel Based on an Optical Engine

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The combustion process of traditional diesel engines is mainly determined by the injection timing of diesel. There is a trade-off relationship between the soot and NOx (nitrogen oxides) during this combustion process, making it difficult to reduce these ...

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Application of 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy as Spirit Drinks Screener for Quality and Authenticity Control

open access: yesFoods, 2020
Due to legal regulations, the rise of globalised (online) commerce and the need for public health protection, the analysis of spirit drinks (alcoholic beverages >15% vol) is a task with growing importance for governmental and commercial laboratories.

Multi-transition study and new detections of class II methanol masers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We have used the ATNF Mopra antenna and the SEST antenna to search in the directions of several class II methanol maser sources for emission from six methanol transitions in the frequency range 85-115 GHz.
