Unlocking Nanoscale Microstructural Detail in Aluminum Alloys Through Differential Phase Contrast Segmentation in STEM

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Differential phase contrast (DPC) imaging in STEM is demonstrated as a rapid, versatile segmentation tool for advanced aluminum alloys. Decomposition of false‐color DPC micrographs resolves nanoclusters, precipitate variants, dislocation strain fields, nanostructures, and grain boundaries ‐ all within a single and fast acquisition.

Artificial Neural Network Surrogate Modelling for Predicting and Optimising CO2 Conversion to Methanol Under Uncertainty

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study introduces a data‐driven surrogate modelling framework that combines an artificial neural network (ANN) with particle swarm optimisation (PSO) and a genetic algorithm (GA) to optimise methanol production under uncertain conditions.

Inhibition of kynurenine 3‐monooxygenase (KMO) reduces fentanyl and sucrose intake and relapse‐like behaviour in rats

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Opioid use disorder, particularly involving fentanyl, poses major challenges due to high relapse rates and limited effectiveness of pharmacotherapies. The kynurenine pathway has emerged as a target for addiction treatment through its modulation of glutamatergic and dopaminergic neurotransmission.

The Pharmacokinetics of Intravenous and Subcutaneous Ondansetron in Female Beagle Dogs

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to evaluate the pharmacokinetic profile of ondansetron following intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (SC) administration in five healthy adult female Beagles. Dogs were administered ondansetron at 0.5 mg/kg IV and SC in a randomized crossover design.

Nucleation and growth controlled reduced graphene oxide–supported palladium electrocatalysts for methanol oxidation reaction

open access: yesNanomaterials and Nanotechnology, 2019
In spite of advantages of direct methanol fuel cells, low methanol oxidation reaction and fuel crossover from anode to cathode, there remains a challenge that inhibits it from being commercialized.

The Self-Adaptive Fuel Supply Mechanism in Micro DMFC Based on the Microvalve

open access: yesMicromachines, 2019
To achieve a self-adaptive fuel supply mechanism for the micro direct methanol fuel cell (μDMFC), we designed and developed a thermal control microvalve channel structure, where we considered the relationship between the temperature characteristics,
