HO•‐induced oxidation is structurally resolved in S‐adenosyl methionine (SAM). Infrared multiple photon dissociation (IRMPD) spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal clear spectroscopic signatures of adenine C8 oxidation. S‐adenosyl methionine (SAM) is a key biomolecule in cellular processes, acting as a primary methyl donor,

Electrodeposited MnCoOX and MnNiCoOX spinels on Ni foam are evaluated as binder‐free, platinum group metal‐free cathodes in direct ammonia fuel cells. MnCoOX matches and surpasses Pt in oxygen reduction performance while tolerating ammonia crossover, whereas Ni incorporation dilutes the active Co–Mn sites and degrades performance.

The Effect of a Reduction in the Catalyst Loading on a Mini Passive Direct Methanol Fuel Cell
Mini passive direct methanol fuel cells (mpDMFCs) appear to be a promising alternative for powering portable devices, since they use a liquid fuel, have a fast refuelling time, have a high efficiency and have a low environmental impact.

A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...

Effect of Methanol Crossover in a Liquid-FeedPolymer-Electrolyte Direct Methanol Fuel Cell
The performance of a liquid-feed direct methanol fuel cell employing a proton-exchange membrane electrolyte with Pt-Ru/C as anode and Pt/C as cathode is reported. The fuel cell can deliver a power density of ca. 0.2 $W/cm^2$ at 95°C, sufficient to suggest that the stack construction is well worthwhile.Methanol crossover across the polymer electrolyte ...

Tensile‐strained bismuth nanosheets (TS‐BiNs) achieve a formate Faradaic efficiency of 92% at −1000 mA cm−2 and enable stable production of pure formic acid (HCOOH) in a solid‐state electrolyte reactor. Theoretical calculations reveal that the introduced strain lowers the energy barrier for *OCHO intermediate formation, fundamentally enhancing the ...
