Predictions and measurements of spark-ignition engine characteristics using ammonia and other fuels [PDF]
PhDThe project reported here involves the development of a computer model for determining the characteristics of a spark-ignition engine. The model incorporates detailed consideration of the combustion process -and includes calculations for heat ...

Dynamic pressure control and GA-based PID optimization study of fuel supply system for methanol-fueled ships [PDF]
The search for clean alternative fuels to replace conventional high-emission marine fuels is a pressing issue in the context of carbon neutrality. Methanol, owing to its ability to be stored at ambient temperatures, is considered one of the promising ...

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Methanol as a fuel for internal combustion engines
Abstract Transportation of people and goods largely relies on the use of fossil hydrocarbons, contributing to global warming and problems with local air quality. There are a number of alternatives to fossil fuels that can avoid a net carbon emission and can also decrease pollutant emissions. However, many have significant difficulty in competing with

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).
