Dapsone-induced methemoglobinemia in a patient of lichen planus: A case report
Introduction: Methemoglobin (MetHb) is the rare form of hemoglobin (Hb) produced by abnormal oxidation of Hb. Methemoglobinemia may be hereditary or acquired after exposure to certain drugs, toxins, chemicals, food, etc., Case Presentation: Here, we ...

Successful management of methemoglobinemia with oral ascorbic acid: Dual case reports
Methemoglobinemia is a rare blood disorder characterized by elevated levels of methemoglobin (MetHb), leading to a reduced capacity of red blood cells to carry oxygen, resulting in functional hypoxia and cyanosis.

Deadly shades of green: A cautionary tale of an organic biopesticide poisoning
Introduction: Methemoglobinemia is a potentially life-threatening condition characterized by the reduced oxygen-carrying capacity of hemoglobin. With the increasing popularity of natural and herbal biopesticides, there is a growing risk of exposure to ...

Assessment of Spatial and Temporal Nitrate Dynamics in a Medium‐Sized Watershed Using SWAT‐RIVE
Nitrate dynamics in a catchment with multiple anthropogenic pressures were evaluated with SWAT‐RIVE. The results show that 54% of soil nitrate is removed by denitrification, mainly in agricultural areas and wetlands, 8.5% of nitrate inputs to soils reach the river system, and 1.7% is removed by in‐stream processes.

Alimentary water-nitrate methemoglobinemia in children in Ternopil region
This article considered the problem of spreading nitrate and nitrite contamination of the water and food, which leads to alimentary water-nitrate methemoglobinemia. Also, we presented the results of our research to show the relevance of methemoglobinemia,

Rethinking Global Soil Degradation: Drivers, Impacts, and Solutions
Abstract The increasing threat of soil degradation presents significant challenges to soil health, especially within agroecosystems that are vital for food security, climate regulation, and economic stability. This growing concern arises from intricate interactions between land use practices and climatic conditions, which, if not addressed, could ...
