Biointegrated Battery‐Based Electroceuticals
Biointegrated batteries go beyond passive power to serve as active therapeutic platforms for delivering programmable electrical cues and bioactive agents. This review examines their mechanisms and applications and provides a framework to guide battery‐based therapeutic design and clinical translation.

Polychip‐A High‐Throughput Droplet Microfluidics Platform for Interrogating Microbial Interactions
Polychip, a fully integrated droplet microfluidics platform, enables high‐throughput, single‐cell resolution screening of polymicrobial interactions. By seamlessly combining six automated microfluidics operations on a single chip, the system accelerates antimicrobial discovery by 11 to 14 times compared to traditional robotic methods.

High-level mupirocin resistance in methicillin-resistant staphylococci isolated from dogs and cats
Background Mupirocin is one of the few antimicrobials active against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and is frequently used for the eradication of MRSA nasal colonisation in humans.

Engineered phage‐based trifunctional nanofibers are developed for synergistic biofilm eradication. Biofilm‐binding phages, armed with AuNPs and TCPP, serve as both warheads and scaffolds, endowing the phototherapy agents with biofilm‐anchoring ability. Upon light irradiation, AuNPs induce photothermal therapy, while TCPP generates 1O2 for photodynamic ...

MOLECULAR STUDY OF BIOFILM PRODUCTION BY METHICILLIN RESISTANT STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS
Background:Staphylococci are a group of bacteria that cause diseases ranging from minor skin infections to life-threatening bacteremia. Biofilm formation was determined by a number of methods and is available to detect the capability of ...

Methicillin-resistant septal peptidoglycan synthesis in a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strain [PDF]
In a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strain, electron micrographs showed that cell wall septa continued to be formed in the presence of methicillin, although they became distorted and enlarged. The results indicated that peripheral cell wall synthesis was inhibited.

Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Macrophage‐derived MLKL in alcohol‐associated liver disease: Regulation of phagocytosis
EtOH causes leaky gut allowing bacteria and PAMPs into the liver, resulting in hepatic inflammation and injury. We demonstrate that LPS induces STAT1‐mediated expression and phosphorylation of MLKL in macrophages and identify a novel function that myeloid MLKL translocates to phagosomes and lysosomes and regulates phagocytosis, which contributes to the
