Duplex Recombinase Polymerase Amplification‐Lateral Flow Assay for Rapid Visual Detection of Critical Antibiotic Resistance Genes in Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae From Positive Blood Cultures

This study developed a pair of duplex RPA‐LFA assays for the simultaneous detection of critical resistance genes, blaCTX‐M/mcr‐1 and blaoxa‐48‐like/blaNDM, from hemoculture samples. Under optimized conditions, duplex RPA was performed at 37°C–38°C for 25 min, followed by LFA for 10–15 min.

Sonographic Diagnosis of an Intercostal Artery Pseudoaneurysm: A Case Report and Literature Review

A 63‐year‐old male presented to the emergency department after being found unconscious during a welfare check. Following a prolonged three‐month hospital admission, the patient developed left flank pain. Spectral Doppler ultrasound revealed a large isoechoic lesion with layering echoes, and spectral Doppler demonstrated bidirectional flow.

ΔCt-informed, calibrated logistic regression accurately attributes mecA in Staphylococcus aureus-positive wound specimens

In wound specimens, co-detection of mecA and Staphylococcus aureus by PCR does not necessarily indicate methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) because coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) frequently harbor mecA.

Detecting Antibiotic Resistance in Strains of Selected Gram‐Negative Bacterial Species Using Raman Spectroscopy

Raman spectroscopy successfully identified antibiotic‐resistant Gram‐negative strains. Resistant strains of four bacterial species were discriminated from sensitive ones with 99.1% accuracy using PLS regression. The method allows for rapid, label‐free detection of antibiotic resistance.
