A recursive method for finding revolute-jointed manipulator singularities [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings 1992 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 1995
A geometric application of screw theory is used to develop a recursive algorithm for computing all singular configurations of revolute-jointed manipulators with arbitrary link geometries and an arbitrary number of joints. The depth of the recursion is linear in the number of joints, n, while the computational burden is proportional to 2n−2. This method

Application of the finite element method in the calculation of shells of revolution

open access: yesHerald of the Azerbaijan Engineering Academy, 2022
The paper describes an algorithm for calculating structurally orthotropic shells of rotationwith an arbitrary shape of the meridian and an arbitrary law of change in the rigidity of the shellalong the meridian. In this case, a number of restrictions are imposed on the law of change in theshell stiffness.

On the Affine Image of a Rational Surface of Revolution

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We study the properties of the image of a rational surface of revolution under a nonsingular affine mapping. We prove that this image has a notable property, namely that all the affine normal lines, a concept that appears in the context of affine ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Mathematical Simulations of Deformation for the Rotation Shells with Variable Wall Thickness

open access: yesJournal of Optimization, Differential Equations and Their Applications, 2021
Well-posed boundary value problems are constructed for calculating rotation shells of with a stiffness variable along the meridian in two directions, and also with variable bilateral with respect to the reference surface with the shell wall thickness ...
