Single cis‐elements in brassinosteroid‐induced upregulated genes are insufficient to recruit both redox states of the BIL1/BZR1 DNA‐binding domain

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phytohormone brassinosteroid‐induced gene regulation by the transcription factor BIL1/BZR1 involves redox‐dependent DNA‐binding alternation and interaction with the transcription factor PIF4. The reduced BIL1/BZR1 dimer binds preferred cis‐elements, while oxidation alters its oligomerization state and disrupts DNA‐binding ability.

Effects of subliminal emotional facial expressions on language comprehension as revealed by event-related brain potentials

open access: yesScientific Reports
Emotional facial expressions often take place during communicative face-to-face interactions. Yet little is known as to whether natural spoken processing can be modulated by emotional expressions during online processing.

Methods Acronyms - The Witty Side of Science [PDF]

open access: yesKemija u Industriji, 2009
The name of a method usually contains its basic principles. To simplify the name of a method and make it easier to remember, an acronym is often used. However, sometimes the name of a method and its acronym are formed in such a way that the result often ...

Cell‐free DNA aneuploidy score as a dynamic early response marker in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
mFast‐SeqS‐based genome‐wide aneuploidy scores are concordant with aneuploidy scores obtained by whole genome sequencing from tumor tissue and can predict response to ARSI treatment at baseline and, at an early time point, to ARSI and taxanes. This assay can be easily performed at low cost and requires little input of cfDNA. Cell‐free circulating tumor

Highly multiplexed digital PCR assay for simultaneous quantification of variant allele frequencies and copy number alterations of KRAS and GNAS in pancreatic cancer precursors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples
