Iron-Catalyzed Grignard Cross-Couplings with Allylic Methyl Ethers or Allylic Trimethylsilyl Ethers
We have found that cross-coupling between aryl Grignard reagents and allylic methyl ethers proceeded well in the presence of a catalytic amounts of Fe(acac)3 to afford the corresponding allylic substitution products in good yields.

Catalepsigenic action of methyl ethers of mono- and polyphenolamines [PDF]
The catatonic action of the methyl ethers of some mono- and polyphenolamines injected intraperitoneally to mice has been studied. Of these compounds, 4-méthoxy-phenylethylamine (tyramine methyl ether) is the most active.

Nickel-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reaction of Alkenyl Methyl Ethers with Aryl Boronic Esters
The Ni(0)-catalyzed cross-coupling of alkenyl methyl ethers with boronic esters is described. Several types of alkenyl methyl ethers can be coupled with a wide range of boronic esters to give the stilbene ...

Dexime: A Selectively Enzyme‐Degradable Hydrogel for Protein Therapeutic Release
A dextrin‐oxime hydrogel (dexime) is produced using ketone or aldehyde modified dextrin and tetra‐oxyamine modified poly(ethylene glycol). The rheological and mechanical properties of dexime are tunable. Dexime is injectable, cytocompatible, hydrolytically stable, and selectively degradable by α‐amylase.

Reductive lithiation of arylalkyl methyl ethers
We have investigated the reductive cleavage of arylalkyl methyl ethers with an excess of lithium metal and a catalytic amount of naphthalene. The reaction proceeds regioselectively in the presence of various substituents on the aromatic ring, allowing ...

Addition of Chloromethyl Methyl Ether to Isoprene and the Prepation of Isogeranyl Methyl Ether
The cationic addition of chloromethyl methyl ether to isoprene in the presence of metal halides was investigated in order to obtain the 1, 4-adduct, 1-chloro-3-methyl-5-methoxypentene-2. It was found that the addition of small amounts of ethyl alcohol caused a large increase in the yield of the adduct, especially in the case of stannic chloride ...
