Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Naled, Methyl Eugenol, and Cuelure in Soil [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chromatographic Science, 1996
Supercritical fluid extraction procedures are developed for the analysis of naled, methyl eugenol, and cuelure in soil samples. Recoveries of analytes from soil spiked at 0.25–45 μg/g levels are high using modified or unmodified carbon dioxide (CO 2) at 60°C. For methyl eugenol, recoveries of 91–101% are obtained using CO 2, a pressure of 27.6 MPa, and

Responses of fruit flies (Tephritidae: Dacinae) to novel male attractants in north Queensland, Australia, and improved lures for some pest species [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Male fruit fly attractants, cue-lure and methyl eugenol (ME), have been successfully used for the last 50 years in the monitoring and control of Dacini fruit flies (Bactrocera and Dacus species).

Development of broad-spectrum immunoassay with monoclonal antibody to detect five eugenols and study of their molecular recognition mechanism

open access: yesFood Chemistry: X
In this study, three eugenol fragment-containing haptens were synthesized, and a monoclonal antibody (mAb) selective for five commonly-found eugenol compounds (EUGs, i.e., eugenol, isoeugenol, methyl eugenol, methyl isoeugenol, and acetyl isoeugenol) was

Effects of Gabaergic phenols on phospholipid bilayers as evaluated by 1H-NMR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The phenols propofol and thymol, and lately carvacrol, eugenol and chlorothymol, have been shown to act as positive allosteric modulators on GABAA receptor, which is the main inhibitory receptor of the central nervous system.
