Formation of methyl methacrylate from methyl propionate and methanol
Catalysis Today, 2006Abstract The formation of methyl methacrylate (MMA) was studied in a vapor-phase reaction between methyl propionate (MP) and methanol without using any sources of formaldehyde. Silica-supported CsOH doped with a small amount of silver Ag was found to be the best catalyst. The optimum Ag/Cs/Si atomic ratio was 4–10/20–25/1000.

Lecithin formation by methylation of intact phosphatidyl dimethylethanolamine
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1960S>Results are reported from tracer studies of lecithin formation by methylation of intact phosphatidyl dimethylethanolamine (DME). After incubation of C/sup 14/ labeled DME with rat liver slices, the isotope was found to be present in the DME as well as in the choline moiety of the phospholipids. A study of the raman non-coincidence effect from methyl formate / methyl d-formate solutions
Journal of Molecular Liquids, 1997Abstract The Raman Non-Coincidence Effect (NCE) of the carbonyl stretching band of methyl formate as a pure liquid and diluted in methyl d-formate has been studied. A theoretical model of the behaviour of the NCE with isotopic dilution has been proposed by Logan (1). Logan's model was tested and found to agree with the experimental data.
