This review highlights recent advances in integrating biocatalysis and chemocatalysis in continuous flow to create streamlined, sustainable processes. It examines chemo‐enzymatic cascades combining at least one enzymatic and one chemical step, discusses challenges such as enzyme immobilization, leaching, and reactor clogging, and presents solutions ...

A study of methyl formate in astrochemical environments
Several complex organic molecules are routinely detected in high abundances towards hot cores and hot corinos. For many of them, their paths of formation in space are uncertain, as gas phase reactions alone seem to be insufficient.

Sertraline Treatment Can Mimic Niemann‐Pick Type C Biomarker Profile: A Diagnostic Pitfall
ABSTRACT Background Oxysterols (cholestane‐3β,5α,6β‐triol and 7‐ketocholesterol) and N‐palmitoyl‐O‐phosphocholineserine (PPCS) are sensitive biomarkers for Niemann‐Pick disease type C (NPC) screening. However, false‐positive results occur, with a biomarker profile suggestive of NPC despite the absence of pathogenic variants in genes involved in NPC or ...

A Revised Model for Muscarine Biosynthesis Involving Lysine Trimethylation
The fatal mushroom toxin l‐(+)‐muscarine is one of the most prominent natural products. We elucidated its biosynthetic origin in the sweating mushroom Collybia rivulosa based on incorporation of stable isotope‐labeled compounds and extensive mass spectrometric analyses.

Fractionation of stable carbon isotopes during formate consumption in anoxic rice paddy soils and lake sediments [PDF]
Formate is energetically equivalent to hydrogen and thus is an important intermediate during the breakdown of organic matter in anoxic rice paddy soils and lake sediments.

A high resolution study of complex organic molecules in hot cores
We present the results of a line identification analysis using data from the IRAM Plateau de Bure Inferferometer, focusing on six massive star-forming hot cores: G31.41+0.31, G29.96-0.02, G19.61-0.23, G10.62-0.38, G24.78+0.08A1 and G24.78+0.08A2.

Glycolaldehyde, methyl formate and acetic acid adsorption and thermal desorption from interstellar ices [PDF]
We have undertaken a detailed investigation of the adsorption, desorption and thermal processing of the astrobiologically significant isomers glycolaldehyde, acetic acid and methyl formate.

Enthalpies of formation of methyl benzenecarboxylates
The relative stabilities of the isomeric dimethyl benzenedicarboxylates have been studied by a thermochemical investigation of dimethyl phthalate, dimethyl isophthalate and dimethyl terephthalate. The enthalpies of formation in the condensed state for dimethyl phthalate and dimethyl isophthalate, determined from combustion calorimetry measurements, are

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.
