Comparison of Three Sympatric Desert Lizards: Digestive Tract Structure, Digestive Enzyme Activities, Gut Microbiota, and Metabolites

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
We performed 16S rDNA sequencing and metabolite profiling for three sympatric lizard species—Teratoscincus roborowskii, Phrynocephalus axillaris, and Eremias roborowskii—and compared their goblet cell and enzyme activities in the digestive tract. Our study suggests that the dietary niche may promote divergence or convergence of microbiota across host ...

Reações de 1,2-dicloro-4,5-dinitrobenzeno com aminas: monossubstituição de nitro e dissubstituição de cloro e nitro Reactions of 1,2-dichloro-4,5-dinitrobenzene with amines: monosubstitution of chlorine and disubstitution of chlorine and nitro

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2007
1,2-dichloro-4,5-dinitrobenzene (DCDNB) reacts with primary and secondary amines, in acetonitrile, at room temperature, to give a monosubstituted nitro product with a yield of 85 to 95%.

H2‐dependent modulation of tetrahydromethanopterin S‐methyltransferase (Mtr complex) activity by the small protein MtrR in Methanosarcina mazei

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Small protein MtrR is a regulator of the Mtr methyltransferase complex in Methanosarcina mazei. It binds specifically to the MtrA subunit and modulates Mtr activity in response to hydrogen (H2) availability. Deleting mtrR impairs growth in the presence but not absence of H2, indicating its role in directing methyl transfer toward an energy‐conserving ...

Primary productivity coupled to oxic methane production in coastal waters of southern China

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography Letters, Volume 11, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Oxic methane (CH4) production (OMP) occurs in diverse oxygenated surface waters worldwide. However, phytoplankton‐driven OMP in natural marine environments remains poorly documented. During a research cruise in the highly productive southern East China Sea, we measured OMP by incubating phytoplankton‐rich surface waters and found that CH4 ...

Dichloridobis(methylamine-κN)boron(III) chloride

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
The title compound, C2H10BCl2N2+·Cl− or [BCl2(H3CNH2)2]+·Cl−, is the first crystallographically characterized di(alkylamine)–BCl2+ salt. The B atom is tetrahedrally coordinated by two Cl and two methylamine N atoms.

Defect Passivation via Plasma Modification of Lead Halide Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 7, Page 813-820, July 2026.
We demonstrate that exposure of perovskite thin films to diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge nitrogen plasma leads to an increase in photoluminescence, attributed to reduced defect densities. This results in implied open‐circuit voltage improvement of up to 80 mV and finalized solar cell open‐circuit gains up to 60 mV.
