The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

Background Enteric methane emissions from dairy cows are an environmental problem as well as a gross feed energy loss to the animal. Methane is generated in the rumen by methanogenic archaea from hydrogen (H2) + carbon dioxide and from H2 + methanol or ...

Performance and genome-centric metagenomics of thermophilic single and two-stage anaerobic digesters treating cheese wastes [PDF]
The present research is the first comprehensive study regarding the thermophilic anaerobic degradation of cheese wastewater, which combines the evaluation of different reactor configurations (i.e. single and two-stage continuous stirred tank reactors) on

The local structure in liquid methylamine and methylamine–water mixtures [PDF]
Molecular dynamics (MD) computer simulations are carried out on liquid methylamine and on 10 and 30 wt % aqueous solutions of methylamine. The local three-dimensional structure in these liquid systems is investigated using standard one-dimensional radial distribution functions and the fully three-dimensional measure of the local structure around the ...

Recent Advances in Mediator and Proton Relay Usage in Molecular Catalysis
The use of electron–proton transfer mediators, redox mediators, and proton relays in synergy with molecular catalysts in energy‐related small‐molecule and organic transformations is discussed, with a focus on recent advances. Linear free‐energy relationship and catalytic Tafel plots provide a systematic foundation for benchmarking these catalytic ...

Site directed mutagenesis of L-pyrrolysine in dimethylamine methyltransferase [PDF]
Methanosarcina barkeri is an archaeon and is able to use methylamines as growth substrates for methanogenesis. The methylamine methyltransferases that are involved in initiating methanogenesis from the methylamines have an in-frame amber codon (UAG) that
