Projections of Tropical Fermat-Weber Points
This paper is motivated by the difference between the classical principal component analysis (PCA) in a Euclidean space and the tropical PCA in a tropical projective torus as follows.

Object-Based Geometric Distortion Metric for Viewport Rendering of 360° Images
To visualize omnidirectional (or 360°) visual content, a sphere to plane projection is employed, that maps pixels from the observed sphere region to a 2D image, called as viewport. However, this projection introduces geometrical distortions on the

Quantum projection filter for a highly nonlinear model in cavity QED [PDF]
Both in classical and quantum stochastic control theory a major role is played by the filtering equation, which recursively updates the information state of the system under observation.

Multi-Feature 360 Video Quality Estimation
We propose a new method for the visual quality assessment of 360-degree (omnidirectional) videos. The proposed method is based on computing multiple spatio-temporal objective quality features on viewports extracted from 360-degree videos.

Projective compactifications and Einstein metrics [PDF]
Abstract For complete affine manifolds we introduce a definition of compactification based on the projective differential geometry (i.e. geodesic path data) of the given connection. The definition of projective compactness involves a real parameter α called the order of projective compactness.

Lorentzian Metrics Null-Projectively Related to Semi-Riemannian Metrics
AbstractWe say that a Lorentzian metric and a semi-Riemannian metric on the same manifold M are null-projectively related if every null geodesic of the Lorentzian metric is an unparametrized geodesic of the semi-Riemannian one. This definition includes the case of conformally related Lorentzian metrics and the case of projectively equivalent metrics ...

Extensions of best approximation and coincidence theorems
Let X be a Hausdorff compact space, E a topological vector space on which E* separates points, F:X→2E an upper semicontinuous multifunction with compact acyclic values, and g:X→E a continuous function such that g(X) is convex and g−1(y) is acyclic for ...

METRIC PROJECTIONS IN LINEAR METRIC SPACES
Summary: Various properties of the metric projection are known in normed linear spaces. \textit{G. Pantelidis} [Math. Ann. 184, 30--48 (1969; Zbl 0175.42001)] discussed some of these properties in linear metric spaces. In this paper we also discuss some necessary and sufficient conditions for the metric projections to be continuous and Lipschitzian in ...

ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.
