On well-posedness and algebraic type of the five-dimensional charged rotating black hole with two equal-magnitude angular momenta

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
We study various mathematical aspects of the charged rotating black hole with two equal-magnitude angular momenta in five dimensions. We introduce a coordinate system that is regular on the horizon and in which Einstein–Maxwell equations reduce to an ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

A Generalization of Fixed-Point Theorems for Mappings with a Contractive Iterate

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, a generalization of fixed-point mappings with an iterate at a point in complete metric spaces is shown, using the notions of T-closed sets and i-P-regularity/d-P-regularity, proving conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the fixed ...

Harmonic Coordinates for the Nonlinear Finsler Laplacian and Some Regularity Results for Berwald Metrics

open access: yesAxioms, 2019
We prove existence of harmonic coordinates for the nonlinear Laplacian of a Finsler manifold and apply them in a proof of the Myers−Steenrod theorem for Finsler manifolds.

A regularisation approach to causality theory for C^{1,1}Lorentzian metrics

open access: yes, 2014
We show that many standard results of Lorentzian causality theory remain valid if the regularity of the metric is reduced to C^{1,1}.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Volume of $C^{1,\alpha}$-boundary domain in extended hyperbolic space

open access: yes, 2006
We consider the projectivization of Minkowski space with the analytic continuation of the hyperbolic metric and call this an extended hyperbolic space.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A Primer on Carnot Groups: Homogenous Groups, Carnot-Carathéodory Spaces, and Regularity of Their Isometries

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, 2018
Carnot groups are distinguished spaces that are rich of structure: they are those Lie groups equipped with a path distance that is invariant by left-translations of the group and admit automorphisms that are dilations with respect to the distance.

ON METRIC COMPLEMENTS AND METRIC REGULARITY IN FINITE METRIC SPACES

open access: yesPrikladnaya Diskretnaya Matematika, 2020
Summary: This review deals with the metric complements and metric regularity in the Boolean cube and in arbitrary finite metric spaces. Let \(A\) be an arbitrary subset of a finite metric space \(M\), and \(\widehat{A}\) be the \textit{metric complement} of \(A\) -- the set of all points of \(M\) at the maximal possible distance from \(A\).
