Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

A Note on tvs-G-Cone Metric Fixed Point Theory

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
For a tvs-G-cone metric space (𝑋,𝐺) and for the family 𝒜 of subsets of X, we introduce a new notion of the tvs-ℋ-cone metric ℋ with respect to G, and we get a fixed result for the 𝒞ℬ𝒲-tvs-G-cone-type function in a complete tvs-G-cone metric space (𝒜,ℋ ...

M-theory exotic scalar glueball decays to mesons at finite coupling

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
Using the pull-back of the perturbed type IIA metric corresponding to the perturbation of [1]’s M-theory uplift of [2]’s UV-complete top-down type IIB holographic dual of large-N thermal QCD, at finite coupling, we obtain the interaction Lagrangian ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Twisted massive non-compact models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We study interacting massive N = (2, 2) supersymmetric field theories in two dimensions which arise from deforming conformal field theories with a continuous spectrum.
