Hydrous micas differ from normal micas in that they contain less potassium and more water. In the calculation of structural formulae from their chemical analyses, two methods have been used which rely on the following different assumptions:1. As these minerals are often fine-grained and may contain adsorbed water, no reliance is placed on the value of ...

A tumor‐penetrating photooncolytic phage is developed for selectively targeting and delivering photosensitizers to GD2‐positive Neuroblastoma cells. Upon light activation, it precisely induces oncolysis of GD2‐positive cells with no effect on GD2‐negative ones.

SeNSs provide a biocompatible, anti‐inflammatory UC therapy. SeNSs form protein coronas enriched with AKT/PI3K/NF‐κB pathway proteins, suppress GP130 via hydrophobic interactions, and inhibit pro‐inflammatory cytokines. In DSS‐induced UC mice, SeNSs reduce inflammation, tissue damage, and disease activity by modulating cytokine, chemokine, and ...

Geochemistry![Figure][1] CREDIT: GC MINERALS/ALAMY Trace metals in soils and sediment predominantly exist as either tiny mineral grains or mobile aqueous ions in pore water. In both cases, adsorption and desorption reactions at the surface of mineral grains control their fate and transport through the subsurface.

We show that intratumoral release of an immunotherapy—CpG —can be tuned with molecular precision by complexing it to an elastin‐like polypeptide (ELP). Injecting ELP‐CpG and an excipient ELP into tumors drives thermally‐triggered phase separation into a micro‐scale “sponge” depot that releases CpG at rates depending on the ELP composition, which ...
