Drilling the Marathousa palaeo‐lake in Greece (Peloponnese): inferring the environmental context of a Middle Pleistocene archaeological site

The Megalopolis Basin is located in the central Peloponnese (Greece), a region that is situated along one of the primary Pleistocene biogeographical corridors for intracontinental hominin migration. The basin comprises several hundred metres of Plio‐Pleistocene sediments alternating between clastics and lignites.

SLPI/FBW7/c‐Myc Axis Reduces Gemcitabine Sensitivity in PDAC by Enhancing Glycolysis and Impairing NK Cell Immunity

SLPI reduces the sensitivity of PDAC to gemcitabine by competing with FBW7 for binding to c‐Myc, thereby disrupting FBW7‐dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of c‐Myc, leading to increased c‐Myc stability and expression. Redox environment modulates in vitro aggregation of Ataxin‐3, the protein implicated in spinocerebellar ataxia type 3. Reducing conditions stabilize native monomers and prevent aggregation, whereas oxidative conditions promote the formation of non‐native conformers and disulfide‐linked oligomers within the Josephin domain (JD).

Peixe Zircon as a Quality Control Reference Material in U‐Pb Geochronology by LA‐ICP‐MS

Key Points Peixe#0 zircon was characterised for U‐Pb geochronology using CA‐ID‐TIMS, SIMS and a long‐term LA‐ICP‐MS data set. The consistent results establish Peixe#0 as a reference material for U‐Pb quality control. Trace element heterogeneity requires careful, CL‐guided spot selection.
