[Testicular function in mice of inbred strains BALB/cLac, PT, and CBA/Lac].

Rossiiskii fiziologicheskii zhurnal imeni I.M. Sechenova, 2010
The main features of male fertility: sperm production and abnormalities, testosterone serum concentration and its testicular content after hCG injections, weights of the testes and cauda epididymes, were studied in adult males of three inbred mice strains BALB/cLac, PT, and CBA/Lac.

[Histomorphological study of mice inbred CBA liver under combined chronic influence of low dose gamma radiation and incorporated thorium nitrate].

Radiatsionnaia biologiia, radioecologiia, 2001
We studied histomorphology of the CBA line mice liver after 30 and 90 days of the low dose gamma-radiation influence combined with incorporated Th(NO3)4 in doses 0.03; 0.1; 0.3 grams per kilogram of the living mouse weight. Morphophysiological and morphometric changes were shown.

Comparison of some properties of oocytes segregating in F2 hybrids between KE and CBA/Kw inbred strains of mice

Gamete Research, 1986
AbstractThe time taken to dissolve the zona pellucida was compared with fertilizability as well as the meiotic maturation rate of the oocytes from the same (KE × CBA) F2 females. The presence of granular material in oocyte cytoplasm was also examined.

[Effect of long-term restraint stress on behavior of female C57BL/6J and CBA/Lac inbred mice. Dispersion and cluster analysis].

Rossiiskii fiziologicheskii zhurnal imeni I.M. Sechenova, 2002
An augmented exploratory behaviour and motor activity and diminished anxiety after a restraint stress were found in CBA/Lac female mice [corrected] but not in C57BL/6J ones. In the Porsolt test the result was exactly opposite. A possibility of inherent anxiety-depressive pathological condition in the C57BL/6J mice [corrected] developing under the ...

[A role of long-term social interactions in the control of spermatogenesis in male mice of inbred strains PT and CBA/Lac].

Rossiiskii fiziologicheskii zhurnal imeni I.M. Sechenova, 2012
Social hierarchy in the animal community is a structure of behavior relations when members of a social group vary in their ability to acquire resources in the presence of others. The aim of our study was to investigate social dominance effects on development of the reproduction function in male mice.

[Testicular testosterone production in male mice of inbred strains PT and CBA/Lac after a long-term period of stable social hierarchy].

Rossiiskii fiziologicheskii zhurnal imeni I.M. Sechenova, 2014
Social dominance can alter testicular testosterone production, although there is pronounced variability in the relationship between social status and pattern of the testosterone response. The study designed to investigate how a long-term period of stable social hierarchy effects on testicular testosterone production in male mice of inbred strains PT ...

[Comparative evaluation of the biogenic amine level of the brain and the ethanol kinetics in the blood of inbred C57B1/6 and CBA mice].

Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1984
The kinetics of ethanol in blood and the levels of serotonin, noradrenaline, and dopamine in the cortex of cerebral hemispheres, hypothalamus, thalamus, and brain stem were studied in male C57C1/6 and CBA mice characterized by predisposition and non-predisposition to the development of experimental alcoholism.

[Correlation of changes in bone marrow cell sensitivity to the clastogenic effect of thiotepa and fertility in CBA/LacY mice in successive inbred generations].

Genetika, 1998
The causes of the significant increases in the sensitivity to of clastogenic effect of thio-TEPA in bone marrow cells of inbred CBA/LacY mice were studied. The increases were shown to be associated with decreased fertility. The fluctuations of fertility and the association of fertility and sensitivity with thio-TEPA were analyzed in foundation stocks ...

The cage design affects intermale aggression in small groups of male laboratory mice: strain specific consequences on social organization, and endocrine activations in two inbred strains (DBA/2J and CBA/J).

Journal of experimental animal science, 1994
Effects of the enrichment of conventional laboratory housing cages with an additional labyrinth on intermale aggression, social organization, and activations of the pituitary-adrenocortical and sympathetic-adrenomedullary neuroendocrine subsystems are compared between adult male DBA/2J and CBA/J mice, differing genetically in their intermale aggression.
