Unsupervised cross-database micro-expression recognition based on distribution adaptation
International audienceDifferent from the traditional macro-expressions, micro-expressions are unconscious, quick and trustworthy facial expressions, which can reveal real emotion. Micro-expressions can provide information that is important and crucial in

Micro Expression Recognition Using Convolution Patch in Vision Transformer
Humans possess an intrinsic ability to hide their true emotions. Micro-expressions are subtle changes in facial muscles that are involuntary by nature and easy to hide.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

TKRM: Learning a Transfer Kernel Regression Model for Cross-Database Micro-Expression Recognition
Cross-database micro-expression recognition (MER) is a more challenging task than the conventional one because its labeled training (source) and unlabeled testing (target) micro-expression (ME) samples are from different databases.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Action Decouple Multi-Tasking for Micro-Expression Recognition
Micro-expressions are brief, involuntary facial movements that reveal genuine emotions. However, extracting and learning features from micro-expressions poses challenges due to their short duration and low intensity.
