A new micro scale FE model of crystalline materials in micro forming process

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
Micro forming of metals has drawn global attention due to the increasing requirement of micro metal products. However, the size effects become significant in micro forming processes and affect the application of finite element (FE) simulation of micro ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

A Comprehensive Examination of Key Characteristics Influencing the Micro-Extrusion Process for Pure Copper Cross-Shaped Couplings

open access: yesEng
In the manufacturing of micro-scale components, geometric dimensional accuracy and product quality are critical factors that directly influence both production costs and efficiency.

Fabrication of Miniature Components from ZrO2 Powder by Combining Electrical-field Activated Sintering Technique and Micro-forming

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
There is an increased demand for miniature/micro products (such as MEMS) and nanotechnology-based products (such as nano-materials). Micro-manufacturing is a link between Macro-and Nano Manufacturing and an effective means for transferring nanotechnology-

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Electrohydraulic incremental bulk metal forming

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Electrohydraulic forming is a working media based high speed technique that is usually applied for sheet metal processing. In this process a shock wave acts as a flexible punch that transmits the punching force in a very short period of time.

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Local adaptive insulation in amorphous powder cores with low core loss and high DC bias via ultrasonic rheomolding

open access: yesNature Communications
Amorphous powder cores are promising components for next-generation power electronics. However, they present inherent challenges of internal air gaps and stresses during cold compaction, which significantly deteriorate soft magnetic properties.

Research on the Micro-Extrusion Process of Copper T2 with Different Ultrasonic Vibration Modes

open access: yesMetals, 2019
As an effective method for the fabrication of miniature metallic parts, the development of micro-forming process (MFP) is still restricted by the existence of size effect.

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...
