Microalgae and wastewater treatment
Organic and inorganic substances which were released into the environment as a result of domestic, agricultural and industrial water activities lead to organic and inorganic pollution. The normal primary and secondary treatment processes of these wastewaters have been introduced in a growing number of places, in order to eliminate the easily settled ...

This work demonstrates the distinct roles of the glutamate formiminotransferase (GFT) enzyme in plants. The GFT triggers the conversion of 5‐methyl‐tetrahydrofolate to MeFox in plants, a process distinct from its role as a formiminotransferase in mammals.

Flocculation-filtration method for harvesting Euglena sp. [PDF]
Euglena sp. is a type of microalgae that can produce various biomolecules including proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates, and can also be the best source of biomass because it contains lipids, which are especially useful for extracting and converting it ...

Engineering management of gas turbine power plant co2 for microalgae biofuel production [PDF]
Fossil fuel accounts for over 80% of the world`s primary energy, particularly in areas of transportation, manufacturing and domestic heating. However, depletion of fossil reserves, frequent threats to the security of fossil fuel supply, coupled with ...

Hydrogen‐Producing Catalysts Based on Ferredoxin Scaffolds
Selected plant‐type ferredoxins that lack their natural [2Fe‐2S] clusters functionally bind a hydrogenase active site cofactor and act as hydrogenases themselves. In combination with photosystem I, the light‐dependent H₂ evolution almost matches the H₂ production rates of the natural system.
