In-feed resin acids reduce matrix metalloproteinase activity in the ileal mucosa of healthy broilers without inducing major effects on the gut microbiota [PDF]
The chicken gut is constantly exposed to harmful molecules and microorganisms which endanger the integrity of the intestinal wall. Strengthening intestinal mucosal integrity is a key target for feed additives that aim to promote intestinal health in ...

Hydrogel Embedding of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Supports Extracellular Vesicle Production
This study investigates the effects of 3D culture conditions on extracellular vesicle (EV) production by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in a gelatin‐based hydrogel matrix (GelMA). The EVs from both conditions were found to have similar morphological, molecular, and functional properties, but 3D cultures produced more total EVs per volume.

Advancing Extracellular Vesicle Research: A Review of Systems Biology and Multiomics Perspectives
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are membrane‐bound vesicles secreted by various cell types into the extracellular space and play a role in intercellular communication. Their molecular cargo varies depending on the cell of origin and its functional state.

Impact of bidirectional relationships between streptococcus anginosus group and host tissue matrix components on cellular activity: Role in establishment of infection [PDF]
This paper investigates pathogenic mechanisms of the Streptococcus anginosus group (SAG) of bacteria which influence the biological activity of periodontal ligament (PDL) cells, endothelial cells and also how matrix proteins produced by these host cells ...

Nanoemulsions for Skin Delivery of Essential Oils: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Essential oils (EOs) are recognized for their multiple health benefits. However, their high volatility, low stability, and limited water solubility limit their effective application. This systematic review aims to assess the use of nanoemulsions as delivery systems for the topical administration of EOs, highlighting their efficacy, safety, and
