Veterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.We developed sensitive real‐time PCR assays for West Nile virus and Usutu virus to screen bird and human samples in Finland. Although no positive samples were detected, active migratory flyways and recent cases in neighbouring countries highlight the risk of future introduction and the need for continued surveillance.

Fire‐induced shifts in activity patterns of predators and prey in the Brazilian Pantanal
The Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 6, August 2026.Using camera trap data, we observed that 5 of 6 prey species showed statistically significant changes in temporal activity patterns, while jaguars were the only predator species to adjust activity when comparing pre‐fire and post‐fire periods in an isolated rocky formation in the Pantanal region.

Bovine bacterial abortion caused by Escherichia coli infection
