A methacrylamide β‐cyclodextrin‐based nanogel (MACD nGel) is developed to load the antimicrobial drug Metronidazole (MNZ) for topical delivery for the treatment of periodontitis. It is demonstrated that cyclodextrin nanogel (nGel) loaded with metronidazole provides an efficient drug delivery route but also has potential clinical applications and offers

Hybrid Scaffolds Decouple Biochemical & Biophysical Regulation of Cell Phenotype
Replicating tissue‐specific extracellular matrix is crucial for understanding its role in disease. This work demonstrates independent control over stiffness, composition and 3D collagen architecture using hybrid scaffolds: patterned collagen perfused with defined hydrogels.

This work introduces photo‐crosslinkable tyraminated poly(vinyl alcohol)‐gelatin (PVA‐GT) hydrogels as tunable injectable platforms for tissue engineering and growth factor delivery applications. This schematic illustrates the two developed hydrogel formulations and the experimental workflow used to evaluate their physico‐chemical properties in vitro ...

The study presents an antibiotic‐free strategy using medical fabrics coated with supramolecular assemblies of polyarginine and hyaluronic acid. These coatings showed strong antimicrobial and anti‐biofilm activity in vitro and in vivo, achieving major bacterial load reductions, including against MRSA.

The field of forensic microbiology is fairly new and still evolving. With a threat of bioterror and biocrime, the rapid identification and subtyping of infectious agents is of upmost importance. Microbial genetic analysis is a valuable tool in this arena. The cost to sequence a microbial genome has fallen dramatically in recent years making this method
