Multi‐Omics Reveal the Dysregulated Gut‐Joint Axis in Knee Synovitis: Data from Two Osteoarthritis Studies in China
Advanced Science, EarlyView. The “gut‐joint axis” in knee synovitis is uncovered. Integrated multi‐omics studies are conducted in two independent osteoarthritis cohorts. Synovitis is characterized an increased F/B ratio, as well as alterations of 3‐HIA, geranic acid, and TWEAK. Upregulated TWEAK receptor is found in high‐grade synovitis, and inversely correlated with lower TWEAK ...Xiaoshuai Wang, Yi Liu, Ziying Sun, Jia Li, Zhihao Lu, Jiayuan Huang, Shixian Hu, Peihua Cao, Xiaolong Cao, Shangru Li, Jianzhao Ruan, Jinhui Liu, Jingyu Xie, Haitao Sun, Tianyu Chen, Shengfa Li, Zhaohua Zhu, Zhibo Wen, Rocky S. Advanced Science, EarlyView. This work identifies CD3.NKp46.CD19.NK1.1. NK‐B cells enriched in PDK1‐deficient yet present in wild‐type bone marrow. IL‐15 (via CD122) and TLR9‐microbiota signaling maintain their E4BP4 expression. These cells demonstrate innate immunity, preferentially differentiate into B cells, and unveil a novel microbiota‐ and IL‐15‐dependent regulatory pathway ...Junming He, Xinlei Hou, Xiaomei Feng, Yayun Dong, Mengqi Ren, Surong Deng, Xinru Yang, Donglin Chen, Lingna Zhao, Shasha Chen, Meixiang Yang, Zhongjun Dong +11 morewiley +1 more sourceRelationship between Chemotherapy-Induced Diarrhea and Intestinal Microbiome Composition

Advanced Science, EarlyView.Streptococcus anginosus extracellular vesicles (SA‐EVs) accumulate in gastric tissue, disrupt epithelial tight junctions, and induce gastritis characterized by neutrophil infiltration and elevated cytokines (TNF‐α, IL‐6, IL‐17A). Proteomics identifies TMPC and FBP62 as key SA‐EVs virulence factors; their genetic deletion attenuates inflammation ...Ying Gong, Lina Duan, Jie Xiao, Yulu Deng, Hongxia Wang, Yajie Zhang, Xiumei Hu, Haifang Wang, Taixue An, Xin Li, Yurong Qiu, Lei Zheng, Haixia Li +12 morewiley +1 more sourceGenetically‐Programmed Hypervesiculation of Lactiplantibacillus Plantarum Increases Production of Bacterial Extracellular Vesicles with Therapeutic Efficacy in a Preclinical Inflammatory Bowel Disease Model
Advanced Science, EarlyView. The development of a novel engineered strain of Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (Lp) is reported that can produce bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs) at >60‐fold higher yields than the unmodified parental strain. These Lp BEVs retain therapeutic bioactivity as validated in a mouse model of dextran sodium sulfate‐induced colitis.Nicholas H Pirolli, Daniel Levy, Alyssa Schledwitz, Natalia Sampaio Moura, Mitali Sarkar, Talia J.
