On the local thermal equilibrium in microchannel heat sinks
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2000The authors discuss laminar and fully developed (both hydrodynamically and thermally) forced convective flow through a microchannel. Analytical solutions for temperature distribution are obtained using one-equation and two-equation models for heat transfer.

Microchannel integrated heat sinks in silicon technology
Conference Record of 1998 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. Thirty-Third IAS Annual Meeting (Cat. No.98CH36242), 2002The use of microchannels in silicon substrates as a forced liquid cooling device for power integrated circuits is investigated. Thermal dissipation characteristics are calculated for several microchannels geometry. An optimised structure is proposed and its technological realisation is described.

Cooling and Thermal Design of Electronic Systems, 1995Abstract Numerical analyses of fluid flow and heat transfer in manifold microchannels were performed. The manifold microchannel differs from a traditional microchannel in that the flow length is greatly reduced to a small fraction of the total length of the heat sink.
