Electroactive Biodegradable Nerve Conduits Based on Alginate–Gelatine Polymer Matrix Modified With Inorganic Nanoparticles

open access: yesNatural Sciences, Volume 6, Issue 2, April 2026.
The effects of ZnO, fullerene C60 and polyaniline (PANI) nanoparticles in hybrid nerve conduits are explored. The composites show enhanced electrical conductivity, permeability to physiological fluids and mechanical stability. The biocompatibility of composites is confirmed by in vivo and in vitro studies.

Artificial antenna systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The work describes experimental and theoretical results on the water oxidation in absence of an externally added potential, on the charge transport in organized microporous media and on the transport of excitation energy in an antenna system.

Microcrystals and quasicrystals : how to construct microcrystals with mean perfect quasicrystalline symmetry

open access: yesJournal de Physique I, 1991
It is shown how the construction of “interwinning” elucidates the relationship between quasicrystals and microcrystals in phase transitions as observed in recent experiments. Both the diffraction patterns and the domain geometry are studied simultaneously. The splitting of the diffraction peaks in the phase transition can be calculated.

Conformational Trajectory of the Molecular Chameleon Grazoprevir From Formulation to Target-Bound. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry
ABSTRACT Macrocycles represent a promising class of beyond‐rule‐of‐5 (bRo5) therapeutics, capable of targeting proteins traditionally considered undruggable by conventional small molecules. Macrocycles exhibit intrinsic flexibility and often display a “chameleon‐like” ability to adapt to their environment, thereby enhancing their oral bioavailability ...

Mechanosynthesis ZnS : Mn Microcrystals

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики, 2015
It has been investigated the photoluminescence and X-Ray diffraction spectra of ZnS : Mn microcrystals (dimension ~ 25 μm). After mechanical crush (time 10 and 20 min) the physical properties of microcrystals was changed. Dimension of micro crystals decrease up to 10 μm (mechanical crush 10 min) and 5 μm (mechanical crush 20 min); intensity of ...

Enhancing CoFe Catalysts with V2CTX MXene‐Derived Materials for Anion Exchange Membrane Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 21, 12 March 2026.
MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Cryogenic Focused Ion Beam Milling to Investigate the Anisotropic Magnetotransport Properties of Bismuth Microcrystals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 20, 9 March 2026.
The highly anisotropic Fermi surface of bismuth results in variations in magnetotransport properties across different crystallographic directions, which can be characterized by studying microcrystals. To avoid the observed surface melting under room temperature Focused Ion Beam (FIB) irradiation, two low‐temperature FIB fabrication methods are proposed

Amorphous metallizations for high-temperature semiconductor device applications [PDF]

open access: yes
The initial results of work on a class of semiconductor metallizations which appear to hold promise as primary metallizations and diffusion barriers for high temperature device applications are presented. These metallizations consist of sputter-deposited

Probing Cellular Activity Via Charge‐Sensitive Quantum Nanoprobes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 14, 6 March 2026.
A new quantum sensing modality detects shifts in zero‐field splitting caused by charge rearrangement with diamond nanocrystals in response to cellular activity. These electric‐field‐driven effects provide an alternative to temperature‐based interpretations, enabling real‐time, single‐cell readout of inflammation.
