Nanofiber PVA‐Based Membranes Incorporating Functionalized Spanish Broom Derivatives for Sustainable Water Purification

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study investigates Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) as a renewable source for electrospun composite membranes in sustainable water purification. MCC and biochar were functionalized with eco‐friendly precursors and nanomaterials (i.e., HNT, β‐CDs) to develop hybrid PVA nanofiber composites.

Electrospun Biomass‐Derived Flexible Anodes With Hierarchical Structure via Cobalt MOF Integration for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Hierarchically porous, N‐doped freestanding anode enables reversible Na+ insertion/desorption and Na–Co alloying, delivering fast kinetics, structural robustness, and durable sodium‐storage performance even under bending/folding. To develop a green, sustainable, and high‐performance anode for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), flexible biomass‐based carbon ...

Novel Zwitterionic Polydopamine Nanofiller‐Reinforced Hybrid Membranes With Superior Antifouling Performance for Wastewater Treatment

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reports one‐pot synthesized novel zwitterionic polydopamine‐silica (ZSiPDA) nanofillers for fabricating PES hybrid ultrafiltration membranes with enhanced hydrophilicity, permeability, and antifouling performance. The optimized membrane achieved over 91% humic acid removal and showed strong potential for municipal wastewater treatment.

Phloxine B as a Probe for Entrapment in Microcrystalline Cellulose [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
The photophysical behaviour of phloxine B adsorbed onto microcrystalline cellulose was evaluated by reflectance spectroscopy and laser induced time-resolved luminescence in the picosecond-nanosecond and microsecond-millisecond ranges. Analysis of the absorption spectral changes with concentration points to a small tendency of the dye to aggregate in ...
