THE EFFECT OF SIZE FACTOR ON THE PHASE TRANSITION IN Sn2P2S6 CRYSTALS: EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND SIMULATION IN ANNNI MODEL

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2003
Size effect on the fundamental properties of Sn2P2S6 ferroelectric is studied. The decrease of Raman peak frequency, accompanied by the band broadening and asymmetry, is observed in the spectra of microcrystalline Sn2P2S6 powder. Theoretical calculations,

Tin‐based perovskite light‐emitting diodes: Progress and perspective

open access: yesInfoScience, EarlyView.
This review assesses tin‐based perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs), focusing on the limitations of Sn2+ oxidation–induced defects and uncontrolled crystallization. By evaluating advanced device engineering and structural innovations, this article highlights their viability in narrowband pure‐red displays and near‐infrared optical communication ...

Rounded Monodisperse Fluorescent Nanodiamonds

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Nanodiamond (ND) shape control using rapid molten‐nitrate etching is studied as a scale‐up method for monodispersed rounded particles. Optimal etching condition (567°C for 6 min) yields NDs with atomically stepped surfaces and reduced sp2 content. Compared to angular control, rounded NDs exhibit an increased proportion of luminescent particles (66% vs.

Downsize Effect on Photocatalytic Syngas Production of a 2D Metal Organic Framework—Tuning the Selectivity From HER to CO2RR via Dimensional Modulation and Mechanical Exfoliation of 2D Metal‐Organic Layers

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A cobalt(II) 2D MOF (2D) has been downsized by covalent bond breaking to form a 1D MOF (1D) and by sonication, to form a 2D exfoliated MOF (2D‐ex). Photocatalytic CO2 reduction shows that 2D and 1D lead to H2‐enriched syngas, whereas 2D‐ex leads to CO‐enriched syngas.

Regulating Copper Nuclearity in Metal–Organic Frameworks for the Hydrogenation of Carbon Dioxide

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
CO2 hydrogenation on Cu‐metalated MOFs at gas–solid and liquid–solid interfaces depend strongly on the nuclearity of the Cu, which can be adjusted via the density of defects and the synthesis process. In both reaction regimes, methanol formation is favored on Cu clusters rather than on isolated Cu sites, highlighting the critical role of metal ...

Redirecting Excited‐State Proton Transfer Through Supramolecular Polymerization in Nanoconfinement

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 32, 3 August 2026.
Supramolecular confinement redirects the excited‐state proton transfer pathway of an amphoteric emitter. In water, the molecule undergoes ESPD, whereas co‐assembly with γ‐cyclodextrin forms nanotubes that template slip‐stacked emitter pairs and enable ESIMPT. Structural and photophysical characterization of the assemblies shows that the preorganization
