Elastomeric microfluidic diode and rectifier work with Newtonian fluids [PDF]
We report on two microfluidic elastomeric autoregulatory devices—a diode and a rectifier. They exhibit physically interesting and complex nonlinear behaviors (saturation, bias-dependent resistance, and rectification) with a Newtonian fluid.

Scalable mRNA and siRNA Lipid Nanoparticle Production Using a Parallelized Microfluidic Device.
A major challenge to advance lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for RNA therapeutics is the development of formulations that can be produced reliably across the various scales of drug development. Microfluidics can generate LNPs with precisely defined properties,

Micro-total envelope system with silicon nanowire separator for safe carcinogenic chemistry
Carcinogenic compounds present difficulties in synthesis not just during reaction but perhaps especially during purification. Here, the authors report a microfluidic device for the use of carcinogenic chloromethyl methyl ether that includes a silicon ...

Multimode interference devices for focusing in microfluidic channels [PDF]
Low-cost, compact, automated optical microsystems for chemical analysis, such as microflow cytometers for identification of individual biological cells, require monolithically integrated microlenses for focusing in microfluidic channels, to enable high ...

Microfluidics platforms can program small amounts of fluids to execute a bio-protocol, and thus, can automate the work of a technician and also integrate a large part of laboratory equipment. Although most microfluidic systems have considerably reduced the size of a laboratory, they are still benchtop units, of a size comparable to a desktop computer ...

Microfluidic Contact Lenses [PDF]
AbstractContact lens is a ubiquitous technology used for vision correction and cosmetics. Sensing in contact lenses has emerged as a potential platform for minimally invasive point‐of‐care diagnostics. Here, a microlithography method is developed to fabricate microconcavities and microchannels in a hydrogel‐based contact lens via a combination of laser
