Cytotransducers for Visualization of Spatiotemporal Intercellular Communication

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 35, September 4, 2025.
Cytotransducers are constructed to visualize intercellular communication based on the spatiotemporally controlled intervention of nanometer‐sized artifacts as stable tracers. The designed cytotransducer is 110 nm in size and composed of a lipid membrane and fluorescent nanodiamond.

Endothelin‐Converting Enzyme‐Like 1 Regulated by LIF Contributes to Chronic Constriction Injury‐Induced Neuropathic Pain in Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 9, September 2025.
After chronic constriction injury (CCI), leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is transported from the distal injury site to dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons and promotes the expression of ECEL1, thereby promoting sympathetic sprouting and causing neuropathic pain. ABSTRACT Aims This study is to investigate the role of Endothelin‐converting enzyme‐like 1 (

GPD1L‐Mediated Glycerophospholipid Metabolism Dysfunction in Women With Diminished Ovarian Reserve: Insights From Pseudotargeted Metabolomic Analysis of Follicular Fluid

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 9, September 2025.
Our study demonstrated the downregulation of GPD1L and its mediated glycerophospholipid metabolism dysfunction in patients with diminished ovarian reserve. Moreover, we verified that GPD1L knockdown leads to increased cell apoptosis and mitochondrial dysfunction of KGN cells, as well as impaired oocyte quality.

Unraveling the functional dynamics of Caenorhabditis elegans stress‐responsive omega class GST‐44

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 17, Page 4675-4693, September 2025.
Omega‐class glutathione S‐transferases (GSTs) are integral to redox regulation and cellular stress responses. This study characterized GST‐44 in Caenorhabditis elegans, revealing its predominant expression in the intestine and excretory H‐cell, with significant upregulation under various stress conditions.

Splanchnic and Pelvic Spinal Afferent Pathways Relay Sensory Information From the Mouse Colorectum Into Distinct Brainstem Circuits

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 9, September 2025.
This study used transneuronal viral tracer to identify the spinal cord and brainstem circuits connected to the colorectum in the mouse (A). To establish if the regions of the brainstem labelled from the colon were functionally relevant to colorectal sensory‐motor processing, the distribution of neurons activated by distending the colon was mapped (B ...

The Neuropathology of Alcohol Use Disorder: Cellular Insights From Human Post‐Mortem Studies

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 9, September 2025.
Major cellular changes in alcohol use disorder human post‐mortem brain. Alcohol use disorder (AUD) is a complex neurological disorder that undergoes neural changes, mainly degeneration and or cellular alterations impacting addiction behaviours. Key brain regions implicated in AUD are the cortex, striatum, corpus callosum, hippocampus, hypothalamus ...
