Perovskite lasers: From optical pumping to electrical pumping

open access: yesFlexMat, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 101-116, March 2026.
This review highlights recent progress in perovskite lasers, emphasizing material engineering, cavity design, and lasing mechanisms in halide perovskites. It also discusses advances in continuous‐wave operation and evaluates the prospects for electrically pumped devices, while identifying key challenges that must be addressed to fully realize the ...

Metal-Cavity Nanolasers

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2011
Recent progress on nanoscale lasers, especially metal-cavity nanolasers, is highlighted. In spite of the metal loss, metal cavities of subwavelength scales have been used successfully for semiconductor lasers by optical or electrical pumping from low to ...

Recent Progress in on‐Demand Transfer‐Enabled Integration of Wavelength‐Scale Light Sources

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 4, 24 February 2026.
A novel integration technology using micro‐transfer‐printing, demonstrating individually and selectively addressable pick‐up of a microlaser on a growth wafer and on‐demand integration at a predetermined location on the compact PIC chip. ABSTRACT The growing demand for massive and high‐speed data processing within compact photonic circuits has ...

Intensity fluctuations in bimodal micropillar lasers enhanced by quantum-dot gain competition

open access: yes, 2013
We investigate correlations between orthogonally polarized cavity modes of a bimodal micropillar laser with a single layer of self-assembled quantum dots in the active region.

Fiber-coupled erbium microlasers on a chip [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
An erbium-doped, toroid-shaped microlaser fabricated on a silicon chip is described and characterized. Erbium-doped sol-gel films are applied to the surface of a silica toroidal microresonator to create the microcavity lasers.

A New Platform for Twistronics: Perovskite Moiré Superlattices Beyond van der Waals

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This Perspective highlights perovskite moiré superlattices as a non–van der Waals platform for twistronics. Owing to ionic–covalent bonding and soft octahedral lattices, perovskites support deep moiré potentials and room‐temperature excitons. Recent progress in two‐dimensional Ruddlesden–Popper perovskites and three‐dimensional perovskite lamellae is ...

Single-mode silica microsphere Raman laser tunable in the U-band and beyond

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
We demonstrate experimentally a silica microresonator-based single-mode Raman laser tunable in the U-band and beyond. The Stokes wavelength is tuned in the 1631–1685 nm range when tuning a C-band pump laser in the 1520–1570 nm range.

Wave interference effect on polymer microstadium laser

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate the lasing modes in fully chaotic polymer microstadiums under optical pumping. The lasing modes are regularly spaced in frequency, and their amplitudes oscillate with frequency.

Photon trains and lasing : The periodically pumped quantum dot [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We propose to pump semiconductor quantum dots with surface acoustic waves which deliver an alternating periodic sequence of electrons and holes. In combination with a good optical cavity such regular pumping could entail anti-bunching and sub-Poissonian ...

Development and Experimental Analysis of an Electromagnetically Controlled Friction Pendulum Isolation Bearing Control System Based on STM32

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The traditional friction pendulum bearing (FPB) has some problems in practical applications, such as the fixed response to external excitation, lack of adaptability, and insufficient dynamic performance adjustment. To address these issues, this paper proposes an electromagnetically controlled FPB (ECFPB) by integrating a semiactive control system with ...
