Metal-Cavity Nanolasers

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2011
Recent progress on nanoscale lasers, especially metal-cavity nanolasers, is highlighted. In spite of the metal loss, metal cavities of subwavelength scales have been used successfully for semiconductor lasers by optical or electrical pumping from low to ...

Do's and Don'ts When Visiting Circularly Polarized Luminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 11, 20 March 2026.
This perspective presents our insights into the principles, challenges, and opportunities of circularly polarized luminescence (CPL). Highlighting key concepts such as the dissymmetry factor (glum) and molecular design strategies, we discuss advances in CPL efficiency, emerging NIR emitters, solid‐state applications, and the growing role of theory and ...

Single-mode silica microsphere Raman laser tunable in the U-band and beyond

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
We demonstrate experimentally a silica microresonator-based single-mode Raman laser tunable in the U-band and beyond. The Stokes wavelength is tuned in the 1631–1685 nm range when tuning a C-band pump laser in the 1520–1570 nm range.

Beyond Cocrystals: Hierarchical Functional Assemblies via Noncovalent Synthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Non‐covalent interactions (NCIs) drive the formation of organic cocrystals with diverse structures and tunable optoelectronic properties. This review explores the essential factors governing these properties, highlighting how the sequential nucleation of cocrystals leads to the self‐assembly of organic hierarchical structures (OHSs).

Backward wave optical parametric oscillator pumped by subnanosecond microlaser pulses

open access: yesAPL Photonics
Microlaser-pumped subnanosecond pulse duration optical parametric generators have great potential to establish themselves as a compact, simple, and cost-effective option for various tasks that do not require high temporal resolution. However, fundamental

A New Platform for Twistronics: Perovskite Moiré Superlattices Beyond van der Waals

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This Perspective highlights perovskite moiré superlattices as a non–van der Waals platform for twistronics. Owing to ionic–covalent bonding and soft octahedral lattices, perovskites support deep moiré potentials and room‐temperature excitons. Recent progress in two‐dimensional Ruddlesden–Popper perovskites and three‐dimensional perovskite lamellae is ...

Development and Experimental Analysis of an Electromagnetically Controlled Friction Pendulum Isolation Bearing Control System Based on STM32

open access: yesStructural Control and Health Monitoring, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The traditional friction pendulum bearing (FPB) has some problems in practical applications, such as the fixed response to external excitation, lack of adaptability, and insufficient dynamic performance adjustment. To address these issues, this paper proposes an electromagnetically controlled FPB (ECFPB) by integrating a semiactive control system with ...
