Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

Production of butanol by fermentation in the presence of cocultures of clostridium [PDF]
Sugars are converted to a mixture of solvents including butanol by a fermentation process employing a coculture of microorganisms of the Clostridium genus, one of said microorganisms favoring the production of butyric acid and the other of which converts

Artificial Symbiosis for Bulk Production of Bacterial Cellulose Composites
Co‐cultivation of the cellulose‐producing bacterium with the microalga enables bulk formation of bacterial cellulose under static incubation, with photosynthetically active oxygen‐generating sites throughout the medium. This symbiotic platform supports 3D cellulosic constructs with geometries dictated by the vessel shape.

ADS-J21 is a novel HIV-1 entry inhibitor targeting gp41
HIV-1 envelope glycoprotein gp41 mediates fusion between HIV-1 and host cell membranes, making inhibitors of gp41 attractive anti-HIV drugs. We previously reported an efficient HIV-1 fusion inhibitor, ADS-J1, with a Y-shaped structure.

Integrating Vibrio natriegens for Photon Manipulation in Living Lighting Devices
Rationalization of genetic and material engineering tools has enabled the engineering of fluorescent Vibrio natriegens (V. natriegens) to fabricate straightforward, highly emissive and stable V. natriegens‐silicones color filters for the first red‐emitting bacteria‐hybrid light‐emitting diodes. This pinpoints V. natriegens as a high‐performance protein

Phagocytosis of Microorganisms
For its survival, the host depends on an elaborate internal defense system to protect against persistent invasion by pathogenic microorganisms. This system is composed primarily of cellular and humoral components of the circulatory system and includes the "professional" phagocytes (polymorphonuclear leukocytes, monocytes, and tissue macrophages ...

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.
