Sound Source Omnidirectional Positioning Calibration Method Based on Microphone Observation Angle
To get source azimuth from microphone observation angle of view in a complex real environment, this article, on the basis of the analysis of geometric positioning method, established a seven-element microphone array model and proposed a sound source ...

Automotive three-microphone voice activity detector and noise-canceller [PDF]
This paper addresses issues in improving hands-free speech recognition performance in car environments. A three-microphone array has been used to form a beamformer with leastmean squares (LMS) to improve Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Multi-modal Blind Source Separation with Microphones and Blinkies
We propose a blind source separation algorithm that jointly exploits measurements by a conventional microphone array and an ad hoc array of low-rate sound power sensors called blinkies.

Cross‐Phase Modulation via Time‐Varying Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Metasurfaces
Time‐varying epsilon‐near‐zero metasurfaces are shown to enable cross‐phase modulation beyond conventional ENZ excitation. By engineering dual absorption bands and exploiting oblique ultrafast pumping, large and broadband frequency translations are achieved at low pump energies.
