Precision measurements in microresonators and microresonator frequency combs
2016 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2016We describe our measurements on high-precision microresonators and microresonator-based optical frequency combs, including full stabilization of planar frequency microcombs, with an instrument-limited instability at 3.6-mHz-per-root-tau and tooth-to-tooth relative uncertainty to 50mHz.

Storing light with microresonator arrays or active microresonator chains
SPIE Proceedings, 2010We theoretically analyze the light-storing process in optical microresonator arrays. We propose a passive and an active schemes to strongly slow light. The two mechanisms rely on microresonator chains whose high order dispersion is optimized. The unit cell of the systems is a short sequence of two or four resonators.

Mechanical dissipation in optical microresonators

Hybrid plasmonic bottle microresonators
2014 16th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2014Hybrid plasmonic bottle microresonators (PBMR) have been demonstrated to sustain polarization dependent surface plasmon waves (SPWs). The proposed PBMR was fabricated by depositing thin gold film on one side of a standard BMR. The deposited gold film has a characteristic meniscus shape with 30 nm maximum thickness.

Microresonator devices for DWDM systems

Optical microresonators for biomedicine applications

It is more deeply described and a few design details are reported. This compact amplifier is based on chalcogenide Pr3+-doped microdisk coupled to two ridge waveguides.

Microresonator Soliton Frequency Comb
2018 European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC), 2018Optical frequency combs in high-Q microresonators can advance timekeeping and frequency metrology, which are amenable to full photonic integration, low power consumption, large bandwidth and high repetition-rate. We will discuss the soliton regime behind such micro-combs and review their applications.
