All-optical switching and strong coupling using tunable whispering-gallery-mode microresonators [PDF]
We review our recent work on tunable, ultrahigh quality factor whispering-gallery-mode bottle microresonators and highlight their applications in nonlinear optics and in quantum optics experiments.

Spectral Coherence in Microresonator Combs [PDF]
We provide a quantitative analysis of the coherence in microresonator frequency combs. We show how to achieve coherent transform-limited pulses on-chip without actively manipulating the pump setting conditions in the course of comb formation.

Enhancement of Dissipative Sensing in a Microresonator Using Multimode Input
Optical whispering-gallery microresonators have proven to be especially useful as chemical sensors. Most applications involve dispersive sensing, such as the frequency shift of resonator modes in response to a change in the ambient index of refraction ...

Coherent coupling of single molecules to on-chip ring resonators
We report on cryogenic coupling of organic molecules to ring microresonators obtained by looping subwavelength waveguides (nanoguides). We discuss fabrication and characterization of the chip-based nanophotonic elements which yield a resonator finesse in

A Stable Optical Trap from a Single Optical Field Utilizing Birefringence [PDF]
We report a stable double optical spring effect in an optical cavity pumped with a single optical field that arises as a result of birefringence.

A Nonlinear Enhanced Microresonator Gyroscope [PDF]
It has been theoretically predicted in the 1980s that an optical ring resonator with Kerr nonlinearity that is pumped equally in both directions exhibits spontaneous symmetry breaking [I], in which light of a given frequency can only propagate in one direction.
