Study on Remaining Oil Distribution after Polymer Injection

open access: yes, 2010
The recovery efficiency by polymer flooding is 10% higher than that of water flooding for main reservoirs in Daqing Oil Field, and yearly oil production rate by polymer injection has continuously reached over 10 million tons for 8 years.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Experimental study of distribution and quantitative characterization of discontinuous oil phase based on micro-CT

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2023
When a sandstone reservoir enters the ultra-high water cut stage, the oil phase changes from continuous to discontinuous, which results in difficulties in the further development and utilization of the reservoir.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Microscopic mechanism of water flooding in tight reservoirs

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
Based on cores from tight oil reservoirs in Ordos Basin, water flooding experiments with both low and high displacement pressures were carried out. Combined with NMR, quantitative analysis approaches for produced oil under different microscopic effects ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Insights into the Microscopic Oil–Water Flow Characteristics and Displacement Mechanisms during Waterflooding in Sandstone Reservoir Rock Based on Micro-CT Technology: A Pore-Scale Numerical Simulation Study

open access: yes, 2023
The low oil recovery rate observed in current oil fields is largely attributed to the presence of remaining oil trapped in the pores of porous media during waterflooding.
