Nonthermal plasma approaches for combating implant‐associated infections: A compendious review
Implant‐associated infections pose serious clinical challenges. Non‐thermal plasma (NTP) modifications overcome this bottleneck in distinct ways relative to traditional sterilization methods. Gas‐phase plasmas generate highly energetic species, UV radiation and reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (RONS), which alter the implant surface properties.

Microscopic Traffic Simulation of Automated Driving: Modeling and Evaluation of Traffic Performance.
The introduction of automated driving systems (ADSs) in road transportation systems will affect the traffic flow characteristics, and have ripple effects which will lead to larger societal implications. The traffic flow is characterized by speed, density, and vehicular throughput, which determine the road capacity and the traffic performance in terms ...

From Data to Knowledge to Wisdom: Lessons Learned From the Vancouver Rat Project
A synthesis of 15 years of research conducted by the Vancouver Rat Project revealed that: (1) Pathogen ecology within rat colonies is the result of complex interactions among rats, pathogens, and vectors. (2) Local and global population structures influence rat and pathogen ecology.
